Baby Ellie is 6 months old!

Well, my beautiful Elizabeth Love is already six months old! She is sooo big already, and has so much personality. I am totally in love with her. These are some of my favorites from our ten minute photo session in triple digit heat. She did great until I tried to put her on the grass without a blanket... she was over it after that. Little Ellie is the first person in my life that I have literally know since they took their first breath, and have been able to watch her grow. Kinda cool :)

Some stuff I finally retouched

Here's some stuff I finally got around to retouching. I took this one on the way up to Mammoth for some shredding a while back. There are a few more of these that'll be up soon, but this was the first one I got to. When I shot these I shot and processed using the zone system, and then processed them incorrectly like a dummy, so I went back to the place and reshot it. I'm glad I did because I like a lot of the images I got out of it.

This is out in Palmdale where I'm from. I don't even remember when I took this.

This was taken on a trip to Lake Powell, off the back of the boat. Some of the best memories of my life.

Something to make you smile

So this is my mom's first grade picture. It makes me smile every time I look at it, and I need some smiles right now. Hopefully you think it's as funny as my entire family does.

Some New Zealand Pics

Here's some pretty pics from New Zealand.  This is the stop we made on the bus ride to Milford Sound.  There was this creek there that ran by the road, and had the best tasting water EVER.  Giant valleys created from glacier movement are some of the coolest environments to see.  I basically love everything about New Zealand.  

This is Slade.  He is my best friend.  If I had to compose one photo to best describe his personality, it would be this one.  Amazing!

Driving away from the Franz Joseph Glacier later on in the trip, we had to stop for a leg stretch and potty break.  The sun had already set, so I did a balancing act on the railing for some long exposures.  This is one of the results... there is nothing ugly about this country!

Look at baby Konnor go!

As I promised, here is another little love of mine, Konnor Joseph.  Just look at those squishy cheeks!!!  Doesn't he just melt your heart?  Congrats Mel and John, little Konnor is gonna give you a run for your money!

Erin is so pretty!

I did a bunch of headshots for my friend Erin, and this one is my favorite!  We had so much fun hanging out, it didn't even feel like a shoot.  Those kinds of shoots are the best... especially when they involve dinner and cocktails after. 

It's Baby Ellie!

One of my very best friends, Rachael, and her husband Alex, had Elizabeth Love on January 15th of this year.  I was fortunate enough to help Rach through her labor, along with our friend Steph, and Alex.  It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen, hands down.  It was a fate that Ellie was going to be as beautiful as she is, given her parents stunning good looks.  But my God, she is so beautiful.  And fun!

I have had quite a few people in my life recently give birth, so you can be expecting many photos of perfect little people in the future.  Mel and John ... little Konnor is next!

Here's some shots of a different variety, since I've been mostly posting travel delights.  These are some images I did for a Warning Mag a while back for a product spread.  These are some of my favorites.

Sevilla, Spain

Here are some pics from Sevilla, Spain.  They had the most beautiful park in the city center, with a bunch of cool statues and places to sit and whatnot.  The first and last photos are from this same park.

Cool street coming out of an old church.  Some lady tried to sell us incense and then tell me my future when we were walking out.  

There was also this amazing old castle in the middle of the city, I'll have to get back to you with the name of it.  But we went there twice, because we couldn't cover the entire place the first time.  It had these great outdoor areas, with awesome fountains and doors, and underground basement like areas with pools.  

Ahhh Venice....

We never did go for a ride in one of the gondolas, but it didn't matter.  There was the most amazing used bookstore we found in Venice, and they would trade books with you.  There were tons of books, all in different languages.  I found The Confederacy of Dunces there, which is an amazing travel read.

Some New Zealand favorites

This is probably just the beginning of a lot of travel photos I'll be posting, as I am slowly making my way through all of them.  Here are a few of my favorites from New Zealand.  This one is of Steve at Milford Sound... one of the coolest places I've ever seen.   

This shot is off the top of one of the chairs at The Remarkables ski field.  The places to ride in NZ are so different from the states, mostly because where we have trees, they have rocks and big boulders.  Makes for a better view though.

I'm in the process of going through some negs for scanning, and I came across this one.  I think my favorite part is the two little birds in the top left corner.

Some Travel Photos

So I'm in the process of editing and prettyizing all my photos from my big adventure, so here are a few I liked!  The top two images were both taken in Florence, Italy, and the bottom image was taken in Barcelona, Spain.  Swoon!!!  

So I'm trying to motivate and ready my images (and mind) for full website overhaul, and here are a few new images I will be adding.  The top is for a shoot I did a while back for Kristen (see bottom photo) while she was still editor at Warning magazine.  She now works as editor of ForUs magazine down here in San Diego, which is awesome so check it out!  The middle image is of Steve while we were traveling last summer.  This shot was in a church (don't ask me which one) in Marseille, France).  I thought it was fantastic that no one else was in there while we were there, so I made him stand there for a few minutes while I took some shots.  The bottom image is of Kristen, and I took this image the day before I left for my adventures last year.  I haven't gotten a chance to take a really good look at them until lately, and I must say I do really like this photo!  Thanks for being a good sport Fagglerock!  I owe you a cupcake!

This is my first time!

Hi!  This is my first blog ever.  Since I'm sub-par at updating my website promptly, this seems like a pretty good way to let you all know I'm still taking it to the limit... or at least tryin' to.  I'll be filling this blog with some of the latest and greatest, and some favorites as well.  So keep checkin' in.  Besides, it's SO much better than actually working at your desk job, right?  So, yeah... treat yourself, and enjoy!
